Brought To You By The Chord D7

If you've got questions about how it all works or whether the membership is right for you, I'll be live streaming a Q&A this afternoon at 2:30 Central on Youtube. If you can't join me live but still have a question, just reply to this email and I'll get to as many answers as I can during the session, which will be available for replay afterwards.

As a bonus, before I get to the questions, I'll spend some time talking about one more essential concept in The Fingerstyle Five – voicings, otherwise known as How To Find Chords Up The Neck. For the past year, one of the most popular downloads I've made for the membership has been a one-sheet chart called The Dominant Dozen, showing voicings for the blues in the key of E. For today's live session, I've created a Dominant Dozen PDF for D7, and you can download it now if you go to the link below:

Voicings And Membership Q&A

With just a handful of shapes, you can basically find the chords you need anywhere on the neck. This afternoon, we'll look at how to use this idea to both support a melody and create call-and-response figures when you improvise. And we'll do all this, somehow, in under an hour. "Look, Rocky – nothin' up my sleeve..."

More soon,

David
