1. Will I be running any kind of Black Friday sale? This year, at least, I will not. So go spend your discretionary shekels elsewhere, like on that pedal you've been ogling, or just keep them in your pocket for a rainy day. (Ice cream, anyone?)

2. Will I be teaching anywhere in person anytime soon? Yes – I'm pleased to announce I'll be one of six artist-instructors at next summer's Rocky Mountain Guitar Camp in Arvada, Colorado along with my old pals Pat Bergeson and John Knowles, my Truefire colleague Brooks Robertson, and two musicians I'm really looking forward to meeting, Richard Smith and Jim Nichols. You can find out more about it at https://rockymountainguitarcamp.org/.

3. When's that new record of mine finally going to be available? Next week, I'll begin offering a limited number of signed, numbered CDs for sale, after which the record will also become available for download and streaming. I'll have more details in a separate email next week.

To quote Garry Trudeau, even revolutionaries like chocolate chip cookies, and so, since even online guitar wonks like the occasional week off, I will, in lieu of a new Youtube lesson, leave you today with this short poem by Chris La Tray:

I could happily close out my years
living on a meager income in a hut
somewhere in Mexico,
eating tortillas and corn and beans
firing angry diatribes about the evils
of gratuitous capitalism out into the world
...if I could only find someone to pay me to do it.

More soon,

David
