I'm a beginner (a year and a half of playing, but just joined The Fingerstyle Five three months ago). I worked three months on Key to the Highway and putting an hour a day at least on the tune itself, managed to just learn the fundamental and three embellishments.

At that level of skill, when David posted the full blown version of "Zoozoo Bingo" a couple of weeks ago on Youtube, it seemed beyond me. But then yesterday, once the new material for January was available, I looked at the PDF and the "at tempo" and "played slowly" videos, and lo and behold, pretty quickly I could play the first few bars, and can see that I will be able to learn the tune. 

All that to say, for my fellow beginners, take David's advice and don't get discouraged by looking at an advanced version of a tune (arranged with vamps, solos, fills, etc) and thinking the piece is out of reach. The tab, the simplified fundamental version, the bite-sized relevant exercises and the related videos make all the difference in the world.
